Mass creator outreach for paid UGC ads — email at scale, Telegram, perpetual rights
How Boost App Social built a pipeline of ~300 UGC ad creatives — thousands of cold emails a day to creators' bio addresses, VA-run negotiation in Telegram, $100 upfront, and perpetual-rights contracts that also transferred with the app when it was sold.
Mass creator outreach for paid UGC ads
TL;DR (Alex, Boost App Social)
- Volume first: ~1,000 Gmail accounts in a shared inbox, a script sending 10–30 emails per account per day to emails creators list in their Instagram bios — 10–20% reply rate.12
- A VA handles replies, sends a pre-recorded founder video explaining the job, then moves the creator to a Telegram group for negotiation, contracts and file transfer.34
- Send ~$100 upfront once a creator looks promising — it proves you’re not a scam; a few will run with the money (“cost of doing business”).4
- Buy perpetual usage rights (plus the right to edit/remix) — never one-year licences that a creator can renegotiate at $100k once an ad wins.56
- The library (~300 creatives + signed contracts) became a sellable asset: it transferred to the buyer in the seven-figure exit.57
Details
Why Telegram. Email gets the first contact (it’s in the bio), but back-and-forth negotiation, signed contracts and large MP4s move faster in a chat app. Once paid upfront, creators were willing to install Telegram and got push notifications, which kept the process moving.48
Process diagram (as Alex designed it). Email → reply → VA conversation by email → founder’s pre-recorded explainer video → Telegram group → contract signed → $100 upfront → brief → videos delivered → edits/recuts.3
Tooling today. The Gmail farm is an in-house tool Alex calls “a little black-hat”. Host Joseph Choi notes off-the-shelf alternatives now exist: creator email lists/platforms plus sending tools like Instantly or Smartlead.19
What sits on top. Volume only pays because winners are rare (~1 in 85 videos) — see Creative volume and hit rate — why you need dozens of ads per winner. Briefing and the ad format are in The UGC app-ad format — captions, green screen demo, phone in hand, wild hooks.
Disagreements / caveats
- Running hundreds of Gmail accounts likely breaches Google’s terms and anti-spam rules (e.g. CAN-SPAM/GDPR in the EU); expect deliverability and legal risk. Use proper sending infrastructure and opt-out handling.
- This is a paid-ads creator model (buy footage once). For organic posting programs with per-view bonuses see How to find, vet and pay UGC creators for an app — a different economic model.
- Perpetual-rights and remix clauses are worth a lawyer’s review; Alex used a lawyer for the sale contract, not necessarily for creator contracts.
