Tools and payment providers for web2app
The stack mentioned for web2app — funnel builders (web2wave, RevenueCat Funnels), payment providers (Stripe saved tokens, Paddle as merchant of record), wallets (Apple/Google Pay, PayPal), measurement (AppsFlyer, Google Ads) — with sponsorship caveats.
Tools and payment providers for web2app
TL;DR
- Funnel builder: web2wave (templates → funnel in a few hours; from your Figma in a couple of days)1; RevenueCat also offers web/web2app “Funnels”2.
- Payments: Stripe — saved payment token enables one-click post-purchase upsells3; Paddle — faster payouts than the stores’ ~45 days and help with refunds/guarantees (merchant of record)45.
- Wallets: show Apple Pay (iOS), Google Pay (Android) and PayPal in the payment sheet67.
- Measurement: web events to Meta/TikTok/Snap; Google Ads unified web+app conversions; AppsFlyer web2app features84.
- All tool mentions come from sponsored/partner contexts — evaluate independently.
Details
web2wave. Igor’s company; templates you can edit, or they import your Figma design. Used by HubX (per Steve). App Masters viewers were offered the lowest plan at $199/month plus concierge setup (Dec 2025 offer, >50% off normal pricing)19. Its SDK can charge the web-saved card inside the app in the US10.
Stripe. After the first payment the token is stored, so subsequent upsells charge without re-entering card details — the basis of Upsells and downsells in web2app checkout3.
Paddle. Sponsor of the July 2026 video. Pays out faster than Apple/Google; you must handle money-back guarantees yourself on the web and Paddle helps with that; it also helps you offer Apple Pay in checkout457.
RevenueCat Funnels. Steve flags RevenueCat’s web funnels feature and plans to test it for an older-audience app whose installs weren’t converting2.
Measurement. AppsFlyer reports web-to-app as the fastest-growing owned channel and ships web2app tooling; Google Ads unifies conversions across web and app118.
Other vendors. Xsolla and Appcharge (web shops, payment links, merchant-of-record services) appear only as sponsors in the video descriptions, mostly aimed at games; they are not discussed in the transcripts.
Disagreements / caveats
- No head-to-head comparison of providers was given; fee levels, MoR tax handling and chargeback policies differ — compare before choosing.
